At Underwoods, our Technical Support Team has recently identified a notable increase in support enquiries related to Siemens TIA Portal licensing issues on Windows 11 systems.
A number of users have reported that previously functioning licences are no longer recognised, or are encountering errors with Siemens' Automation License Manager (ALM).
After investigating the root cause, our team has found that a recent Windows 11 update is responsible for disrupting the ALM service, a key component required for Siemens software licensing.
Recommended Solution
To resolve the issue, we advise all affected users to update to the latest version of ALM version 6.2 SP3. This update restores licence functionality and ensures continued compatibility with Windows 11.
You can download the latest version directly from the Siemens Support Portal:
If you are unable to install due to an error saying that the setup path has a space put the downloaded file directly in Cdrive at the top file layer then start the install, this is due to windows usernames having spaces.
